Europe in ww1
When Kaiser Wilhelm II took over he retired Chancellor Otto Von Bismarck, who had a good balance of power by not renewing Germany's friendship with Russia to become a world power, become a dictatorship, and take over the world. If he hadn't retired then there might not have been so many disagreements between countries and beliefs.(Ex: Nazis and Jews) In June 1914, a Serbian alist assasinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand (the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne). That created WW1 which exposed many new and deadly weapons. Those weapons were being used in many wars. Germany created the Schlieffen Plan which was plotted to take over Paris, France to move west and defeat Russia. If the Germans took over Paris, then the Eiffel Tower would have probably been turned into a military meeting center instead of an observatory tower. On April 24, 1915, the British, French, Australian, and New Zealand troops attacked the Turkish peninsula of Gallipoli. If they wouldn't have attacked Turkey, then the Germans probably wouldn't have worked so hard to create many new weapons. If the Germans wouldn't have worked so hard to kill, then Germany might not be so aggresive now. German General Erich von Falkenhayn created a plan to attack the underground forts protecting Verdun, France. If Germany wouldn't have attacked Verdun, France, then the underground forts of Verdun might have been improved to help defend France today. In 1917 at the Battle of Ypres in Ypres, Belgium British troops destroyed homes. Some people were rich because they had moved there from other countries, most of the rich people lost their money and, until this day, some people have not been able to gain back their money. In 1918 in Verdun, France, the Germans brought out flamethrowers. The Allied Powers didn't know how to react. This is an example of Technological Innovation.
