Harlem renaissance
The Harlem Renassance was a significant movement lead by the african americans. They also discovered my other arts during the 1920's. Renaissance means the rebirth, which was formed by the africans in Harlem New, York. During that time there where a lot of african artists. Meaning many africans played some type of music. One famous musican was Langston Huges. In one of his many bands he played the piano. Many historical factores helped the harlem renassance develop. Included the african migration, the civil rights acticvism, and the groth of the black publishing. Langston Huges also wroye books and plays, and had his own newspaper coloum. During the renaissance time they created jazz, the blues, and even gosiopl. Louis Armstrong was one out of the many famous jazz players. He was the trumpet player out of the group. He was also known for his amazing voice. Duke Ellington was the bandleader and was an important composer. Ellington started his own orcestra called the cotton club. Then wemon were famous for singing the blues. Did you know the harlem renassance ended the great depression? Well it did! It effected people because the new kinds of music was entering in the next generation.
